Foreshadowing the development of the Premium Craft series, the 6.5″ 2-way Project took place in the Fostex showroom from May 2018 to March 2019.

Features
Newly developed HR diaphragm
Fostex’s proprietary HR diaphragm has evolved with the latest speaker technologies. The diaphragm material has been newly optimized for use in 16cm woofers, using a paper extract that forms a three-dimensional structure by combining fiber-based materials. The characteristics of the HR shape (*1), which disperses split vibrations while ensuring rigidity, are further utilized to achieve both high rigidity and retained internal loss for premium bass sound reproduction with mellow, high-resolution sound.
Alnico internal magnetic circuit
Alnico magnets are used in the magnetic circuit. In addition, a copper cap is placed on the pole piece to reduce current distortion and achieve highly intelligible bass sound reproduction.
Uniquely developed foam drabber on the edge
We have adopted our original foam drabber as the edge material, which was jointly developed with a material manufacturer. It combines the texture of a solid rubber edge with the lightness of a cloth edge, and together with the UDRT shape (*2), suppresses resonance.
Newly designed push-pull double damper
Newly designed push-pull double damper with corrugated design is mounted. By mounting two dampers so that the direction of the wave is symmetrical vertically, both linearity of Cms and securing the amplitude are achieved.
