A personal amplifier with built-in high-resolution DAC is finally available.
A compact high-resolution system can be built simply by connecting it to high-resolution speakers such as the P802-S.

Note for use with Mac

Operation may become unstable on some Macs with the M1 chip.

There is a high possibility that this symptom is caused by hardware and is not expected to be resolved by software updates, etc.

The problem can be resolved by connecting through a USB hub.

Features

A personal amplifier with a built-in USB-input DAC that supports high-resolution audio is finally available. This allows you to build a compact high-resolution PC audio system simply by connecting it to the P802-S speaker system (sold separately), which also supports high-resolution audio.
The volume of the high-resolution sound can be controlled at the user’s fingertips. The P802-S is equipped with a headphone output, and its compact body integrates four functions: USB DAC, speaker output, headphone output, and volume control, making it an item that you will always want to keep near your PC and operate at your fingertips.
When both passive speakers and headphones are connected, audio is output from headphones only.

The PC200USB-HR is equipped with a 15W+15W digital amplifier, making it compatible with a wider variety of passive speakers. The world of “low volume audio” has been further expanded.

The PC100USB, a volume controller with built-in DAC, is equipped with a power amplifier to support connection to small passive-type speakers that do not have built-in amplifiers. This makes it possible to easily connect a variety of small speakers such as the “Kansupi” to the PC and enjoy them.

This is a simple high-resolution device that operates with Windows and Mac OS standard USB audio drivers (compatible OS: Windows 7 or higher, Mac OS X V10.6 to macOS10.12Sierra).

Depending on the OS and playback software used, it may be necessary to select (switch) the device as a playback device in the settings, etc.

*Cannot be used with playback software that uses a dedicated driver other than the OS standard USB Audio driver.

The volume control has a large silver knob machined from stainless steel, which is moderately heavy and comfortable to operate. The body is made of black metal for excellent robustness.

A USB cable (1 m) and speaker cable (1.5 m) are included. The USB cable (1m) and speaker cable (1.5m) are included, so you can use the speakers immediately after connecting them to your PC without purchasing any additional cables.

FAQ

Q
What happens if I connect a speaker outside the compatible speaker impedance range?
A

Please do not do this as it may cause PC200USB-HR to malfunction.

In particular, do not connect a speaker unit with an impedance value lower than the compatible speaker impedance value (4 ohms or lower), as it may cause heat generation and ignition in the worst case scenario.

If a speaker unit with a compatible speaker impedance value or higher (8 ohms or higher) is connected, the volume may be low or the sound quality may be degraded.

Please use a speaker unit with a compatible impedance.

Q
Can I connect a selector to the end of the speaker output terminals to switch between multiple speakers?
A
Do not connect anything other than passive speakers of appropriate impedance to the speaker output terminals!
Connecting speaker switching switches, etc. may cause malfunction.

The black (-) side of the speaker output terminals is not a common left/right circuit.
The black (-) side of the speaker output terminal does not share the same chassis ground.

Connecting the speaker terminals to a selector that switches only the red (+) side, or to a device that shares the same chassis ground with the black (-) side, may cause a malfunction.

When switching connections, please replace the cables.

Also, please do not connect (wire) one speaker to multiple amplifiers.
