40cm woofer with HR diaphragm for high rigidity.
Features
The HR diaphragm has high rigidity and suppresses the generation of specific natural resonances. It has a smooth frequency response and excellent bass reproduction capability, which is difficult to obtain with conventional cone type diaphragms.
The edge is equipped with a UDR tangential edge/damper that suppresses reverse resonance and achieves excellent linearity even at large amplitudes. The ALNICO magnet weighing 3.1 kg, one of the largest magnets ever used in mass production, is used.
The new die-cast zinc frame is made of a new material and shape optimized for high strength.
