Features

World's first* 13cm HR-shaped woofer with pure magnesium diaphragm

The world’s first 13cm-diameter pure magnesium HR diaphragm is used in the woofer.

Pure magnesium (purity: 99.9%), which realizes supple and thick reproduction and high responsiveness of metal, has excellent properties such as low specific gravity, high sound velocity, and high internal loss, but is extremely difficult to mold.

This has resulted in an ideal diaphragm that has the high density and penetrating power of a metal diaphragm, while at the same time suppressing the peculiar ringing characteristic of metal.

Furthermore, the edge supporting the diaphragm has a UDRT shape that allows the front and rear amplitudes to be close to symmetrical, contributing to accurate and clear reproduction of the sound field.

This is driven by a powerful magnetic circuit using a large 120 mm diameter ferrite magnet, achieving smooth sound quality with high density and penetrating power.

Ridge-dome pure magnesium tweeter

The tweeter also uses the same pure magnesium diaphragm (99.9% purity) as the woofer, and is equipped with a powerful magnetic circuit using a total of three 40mm-diameter neodymium magnets (two stacked + one boost magnet).

A 20mm-diameter diaphragm with a ridge-dome shape is used to realistically render the sound image along with the excellent directivity characteristics of a small aperture.

The substance of the flesh tone and pinpoint sound image localization will make you feel close to the artist appearing in front of you.

By keeping the propagation speed of the woofer and tweeter diaphragms at the same level, a natural and smooth tonal connection is achieved, as if the speaker units were one.

13cm HR shape bottom woofer

The bottom woofer (BWF) of the G1302MG uses an extracted diaphragm that is lightweight, rigid, and has appropriate internal loss for specialized low-frequency reproduction.

For the edge that supports the diaphragm, an up-rolled edge is used, which is ideal for bottom woofers where larger amplitude is possible and volume is required.

Combined with the cabinet design, this provides a rich sense of volume and quick response.

Enclosure configuration based on acoustic theory

The G1302MG inherits the staggered bass reflex, which divides the interior of the enclosure into dedicated spaces optimally adjusted for the woofer (WF) and bottom woofer (BWF).

The symmetrical slant shape of the side panels increases the volume of the space for the bottom woofer (BWF) by approximately 20% (compared to the G1302).

Furthermore, because the left and right side panels are non-parallel surfaces, standing waves generated inside the cabinet are reduced.

As a result, the fundamental band response and low-frequency volume have been improved without sacrificing the sense of speed.

Beech plywood base cabinet

In order to reproduce the beautiful resonance of the instrument, the cabinet is based on 19mm beech plywood, which has high strength and a straightforward resonance spectrum, valuing the resonance of the wood.

The G1302MG uses 19mm beech plywood for the baffle, and for the top, bottom, and side panels, two 9mm particleboards are laminated and re-glued together to create an 18mm board for rich resonance and rigidity. For the back board, 15 mm high-grade MDF is used to optimize the strength distribution.

The names “Violin Red” and “Fagot Brown” represent the generic image of the color tone.
The shade of the paint may vary individually due to the hand-painting process used for each unit.
The grain pattern of the wood is different because of the use of natural wood.

bi-wiring input

The input terminals are machined from copper and gold-plated instead of brass, which is commonly used, to avoid contact loss.

In addition, we pay close attention to the sound quality changes caused by short cables when bi-wiring connections are not used, and use OFC φ0.32mm x 19 coaxial stranded wires, which are also used for internal wiring, to minimize changes in sound quality.

high-definition network

Luxurious design using high quality sound elements beyond its class in the network elements.

Crimping process with sleeves is applied to the wire connections to thoroughly eliminate any factors that may impede sound quality.

Furthermore, the G1302MG/G1300MG use 19 OFC φ 0.32mm x 19 coaxial stranded wires for the internal wiring material, pursuing both power and delicacy.

In addition, the tweeter network circuit incorporates a MID controller to accommodate a wide range of music genres.

Since this controller is not connected in series with the tweeter, it can adjust the mid and high frequency range between 1.6kHz and 10kHz, which is important for music reproduction, without attenuating the entire bandwidth, in the range of +1 to -2dB without degradation of sound quality.
