The popular PC100USB volume controller with DAC is now available in a high-resolution version, a compact and high-quality sound gadget that is perfect for use beside a PC.

Body Color:
silver

Features

PC100USB is a PCM 24bit/96kHz Hi-Resolution compatible version of PC100USB, which has become a standard PC gadget that allows convenient volume control at hand. While maintaining the compact body, PC100USB achieves high sound quality by reviewing key parts such as capacitors, DAC, and operational amplifiers.

The DAC is equipped with RCA pin jacks (output) for connecting active speakers such as PM0.4n, and a PHONES jack for connecting headphones. It can also be used as a headphone amplifier.

When headphones or other devices are connected to the PHONES jack, they are not output to the RCA pin jacks (output).

USB bus-powered operation eliminates the need for a separate power source. It is a simple high-resolution device that operates with standard Windows drivers. Of course, Mac OS is also supported. (Compatible OS: Windows 7 or higher, Mac OS X V10.6 to macOS10.12Sierra)

Depending on the OS and playback software used, it may be necessary to select (switch) the device as a playback device in the settings, etc.

*Cannot be used with playback software that uses a dedicated driver other than the OS standard USB Audio driver.

In addition to the high-grade silver body that is appropriate for a high-resolution device, a machined stainless steel knob is used for the volume control, which is moderately heavy and easy to operate.

Two USB 2.0 cables (AB type/1m) and two RCA pin cables (1m) are included. The unit can be used immediately after connecting to a PC, PM0.4n, etc., without the need to purchase additional cables.

Compact size that does not get in the way on the desktop.

A

Depending on the OS and playback software used, it may be necessary to select (switch) the device as a playback device in the settings. Please check the settings.

If the sound output is normal, the unit is working properly. Please check the playback software settings.

Q
The color of the (LINK) indicator does not change from green when a high-resolution file is played.
A
Is the sound-related setting of the computer you are using set to 48 kHz or lower?

In Windows, is the sound setting in the Control Panel, and in MacOS, is the sound setting in the System Preferences set to 48 kHz or lower?

The sampling rate of the final audio data output from the PC is determined by the PC settings.
Even if you play a 96 kHz file, if the PC is set to 48 kHz, it will be down-converted to 48 kHz and output.
Conversely, a 48 kHz file will be up-converted and output if the computer is set to 96 kHz.

Please check your computer settings.
