The T60RP has evolved into the long-awaited "mk2" model.
This is the latest model of the RP technology headphones, which have been used in professional music studios around the world for over 50 years since its birth. The T60RP has evolved from the well-received T60RP for listening to the mk2 with the 4th generation RP driver, a full-field-driven planar diaphragm driver originally developed and manufactured in-house by Fostex, mounted in a solid black walnut housing. The T60RP is the next generation of flat diaphragm headphones for listening, with a completely new housing design and precise acoustic adjustment with the new driver.
*RP and RP technology are Fostex's proprietary technologies that move the entire surface of the planar diaphragm in regular phase (Regular Phase).

First of all, this walnut wood housing. It looks nice and feels good to the touch. It also has a nice, luxurious feel. The resonance characteristics of the different types of wood are a concern for me as a bass player, but I have the impression that the important sound is tightened and produced well. Although they are semi-open type, the sound is open and expansive, which I think is a good structure for listening headphones. I think it is also noteworthy that the headphones are comfortable to wear and do not tire even when used for long periods of time.

It is comfortable. I usually use the T50RPmk4 for work, and it gives me a more open feeling, including the fit and sound. If I were to compare it to a chair, it would be like having a recliner and armrests. For those of us on the sound creation side, the playback environment becomes even more important when we have to step away from “sound” to “sound” on our days off. For this reason, the T60RPmk2 headphones play a very important role.

When it is made of wood, it suddenly feels more familiar and fits in with the interior design of the room. You just want to pick it up and feel the texture of the wood. The sound has a warmth to it, but the professional sound engineers at Fostex have created a relaxing yet high quality music experience with authentic bass and clear tones.

Shingo Suzuki, mabanua, and Shingo Sekiguchi are the three members of this band. The band has invited artists from all over the world, including French national Hip-Hop bands HOCUS POCUS and IAM, and popular Filipino band UDD’s vocalist Armi, Ichiko Aoba, and SIRUP, to release their music. He has also collaborated with hip-hop group GAGLE in a variety of styles, including GAGLE x Ovall and a joint project with Takao Tajima (Original Love). SUN ROCK FESTIVAL, GREENROOM FESTIVAL, RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL, and Sunset Live, as well as successful tours in Taiwan, the Philippines, and other Asian countries.
Features
The housing is made of solid natural wood.
Therefore, there may be differences in grain, bark, coloration, knots, etc. in each housing, but this will not affect the sound quality.

The solid black walnut housing with its beautiful grain and natural texture provides a natural sound that is comfortable to listen to, from the rich and firm depth of the bass range to the muddy and extended high frequencies.
RP drivers have evolved to the 4th generation
The fourth generation of RP technology’s fully-driven planar diaphragm driver, which has been improved through 50 years of in-house technology, features an increased number of magnets that sandwich the diaphragm and a newly designed pattern shape for the printed coils in order to expand the vibration area of the planar diaphragm and make it more uniform. Furthermore, the components of the magnetic circuit have been redesigned to optimize the magnetic flux distribution, thereby suppressing unwanted resonance of the diaphragm and achieving a sharp response in the rise and fall of the sound. The fourth-generation driver, developed by fully introducing various technologies cultivated to date, simultaneously achieves improved sensitivity, smooth frequency response for easy monitoring, and excellent transient characteristics. The new driver enables accurate and subtle reproduction of low to high frequencies, resulting in a more accurate sense of localization and reproduction of the sound field. In addition, as in the past, the new product is manufactured as part of the company’s own production process to provide reliable quality.
Independent left-right Y-cable connection for easy re-cabling.
Connectors are provided on both the left and right housings, and a newly developed Y-cable connection is used. 2-pole 3.5 mm connectors improve re-cabling compatibility and increase versatility. The cable uses a high-quality sound OFC conductor.
Optional balanced cable φ4.4: ET-RP4.4BL2Y is available.
Comfortable earpads for a comfortable fit
The earpads are low-resilience, around-the-ear earpads for a comfortable fit, even over long periods of listening. The earpads can be fitted with optional Toray Ultrasuede® earpads (EX-EP-RP-SUEDE), which are sold separately. These earpads are soft and comfortable to the touch, and provide smooth, high-grade sound quality from low to high frequencies.

Attention
After use, wipe sweat, sebum, hair styling products, foundation, etc. adhering to the earpads and headpads with a dry cloth.
Ear pads are consumable items. Please replace them as needed because they deteriorate due to daily use and long-term storage.
