FR-2 software version upgrade
The customer is responsible for all version upgrades and use of the software in the downloaded file. We will not be liable for any damage incurred by the customer as a result of this work. Please note that we will not be able to answer any inquiries by phone or fax regarding specific procedures/operation methods, etc.

Fixed a problem in which, when the TC card 8347 was installed, PULL UP/DOWN was not reflected in the operating clock even if PULL UP/DOWN was set unless the FS changeover switch was changed once after power-on.

Fixed a problem that could cause the TC playback speed to drop to 135% when the power was turned off, the battery or DC-IN was completely removed, the TC card was reset, and the power was turned back on and PLAY was executed.
The CUE Number display on the TC HOME screen was always in total display, but was changed to current display.

The FR-2 is compatible with the optional 8570 Tamiya battery cable, which allows the FR-2 to use Tamiya’s RC battery (RC7.2V is added to the battery type in the SETUP menu). (Battery type “RC7.2V” is added to the SET UP menu.) When using Tamiya’s RC-3600HV, the FR-2 can run for approximately 4 hours.
Only Tamiya’s Ni-MH battery can be used. Nickel-cadmium batteries cannot be used.
6GB Microdrive (3K6) manufactured by Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, Ltd. has been added to the list of compatible recording media. Please refer to the Recording Media Information page for details.

Fixed a problem in which the reference level marker was incorrectly displayed as -12dB when the HOME screen was set to ABS<C.

The recording method of audio data was changed from recording in units of 512 bytes to recording in units of 24 bits => 3 bytes / 16 bits => 2 bytes. This improves compatibility when importing files to a PC.
A write-protect mode has been added to the USB mode to prevent accidental erasure when connecting to a PC and to prevent unnecessary file writing from the PC.
The Fs for Digital input is now set to the Fs selected by the Fs select switch on the FR-2.
However, the handling of the status is not standardized by each manufacturer, and there is a possibility that the Fs may operate at an unintended Fs.
Corrected some display errors in Menu items.
