Features
2-layer paper ES cone / 2-layer paper center cap
Based on the cone paper and center cap shape of the FE103En, the ES cone, with its thin, flexible, high-density fibers, is combined with the papermaking technology using two-layer papermaking to achieve higher rigidity and internal loss while maintaining light weight.
In the FE103-Sol, the base layer is mainly made of long fiber pulp to achieve high rigidity and internal loss, while the surface layer is made of short fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed on the surface of the cone paper.
The surface layer contains short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed of the cone paper surface. This enables reproduction of sharp highs and thick bass with good rise time, while maintaining the bright and taut tone in the mid-range.
The “two-layer papermaking” is a papermaking technology in which the cone paper is made in two stages using a unique technology to make up one cone paper with two layers, the base layer and the surface layer.
High Compliance Corrugation Damper Linearity Improvement
A high-compliance corrugation damper is used, with little change in stiffness from small to large inputs and excellent movement.
Low distortion ferrite external magnetic circuit
A φ80mm ferrite magnet is used in the magnetic circuit to ensure sufficient magnetic flux density.
Copper caps are placed on the pole piece and the inner circumference of the magnet in the magnetic circuit to reduce current distortion, and the clarity of the mid and high frequencies is improved by thoroughly reducing distortion in the drive system.
Mechanical 2-way center cap/High heat-resistant glass composite voice coil bobbin center cap
Directly connected to the voice coil bobbin for extended high frequency reproduction and bandwidth extension beyond 20kHz.
In addition, a high-young-constant sheet composed of glass fiber and phenolic resin is used for the voice coil bobbin material, which ensures that vibrations are transmitted to the center cap while also improving input resistance.
Three-point bonding method
The three-point bonding method is employed to bond the cone paper, damper, and voice coil at the same point.
By increasing the strength of the cone neck, the high frequency characteristics are improved.
Faston 205 gold-plated terminals
Faston 205 type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals.
In addition to secure joints for speaker cables, this prevents deterioration of sound quality.
