Features
● Two-layer paper ES cone
The diaphragm is lightweight yet has rigidity and internal loss by combining a thin, supple, high-density ES cone with dual-layer papermaking technology. The base layer is made mainly of long-fiber pulp to possess high rigidity and internal loss due to thickness rigidity, while the surface layer is made of short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed of the cone paper surface. The surface layer contains short fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed on the surface of the cone paper. This enables reproduction of highs with good rise and sharpness and bass with thickness, while maintaining the bright and pasty tone in the mid-range.
The two-layer papermaking is our original technology, in which the cone paper is papermade in two steps to form a single cone paper with two layers, the base layer and the surface layer.
Large ferrite magnetic circuit
A Φ100mm ferrite magnet is used in the magnetic circuit to ensure sufficient magnetic flux density. The pole section is covered with a copper cap to reduce current distortion. This enables powerful music reproduction.
Highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame
A highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame is used to support the large ferrite magnetic circuit and prevent unwanted vibrations from being transmitted to the enclosure.
Frame outline: Φ128mm, mounting hole pitch: Φ115mm, baffle opening diameter: Φ102mm
～The Φ103mm is equivalent to FE108Super and 6N-FE108Super (discontinued product).
Mechanical 2-way center cap
The center cap is directly connected to the voice coil bobbin to achieve extended high frequency reproduction and bandwidth extension beyond 20kHz.
● Gold-plated terminals
Faston 205 type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals. In addition to providing a secure joint for speaker cables, this prevents deterioration of sound quality.
High-grade speaker cables
High-grade OFC wiring material (length: 600 mm) is included to reduce sound quality degradation from the enclosure entrance to the speaker units.
