The FE166NV is a speaker unit developed as the successor to the FE166En, maintaining the bright and taut tone characteristic of the FE-En series while achieving a three-dimensional sound field expression. The well-proportioned sound from low to high frequencies and the three-dimensional sound field space are harmoniously combined to realize attractive music reproduction.
Features
New cone paper made mainly from super beaten kenaf.
By mixing long and short fibers of non-wood pulp, it is possible to maintain moderate internal loss and rigidity. Furthermore, by mixing chemical fibers and ores as auxiliary materials, the propagation speed is improved and the rigidity is further increased.
Low distortion in the midrange due to the use of dovecotes
When the weight of the diaphragm is added to the diaphragm, the weight balance becomes unequal and unequal division resonance occurs. This is the cause of distortion in the mid-range. The NV series has reduced harmonic distortion in the mid-range by making all diameters pigeonholed.
Adoption of Pocket Neck Damper
The pocket-neck damper method, already developed for the FF-WK series, is employed to achieve the aforementioned dove-less design while maintaining the three-point bonding method in which the voice coil, damper, and cone paper are bonded on the same circumference. In addition, the shape and material of the damper have been reviewed to achieve more linear amplitude characteristics than those of the En series.
● Gold-plated terminals
Faston 205-type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals. This prevents sound quality degradation and enables secure speaker cable joints.
