FE168NS

The FE168NS is a newly developed full-range speaker unit inheriting the development philosophy and proprietary technologies of the Sol series. The sound quality of the low frequency range with a good balance of quality and quantity and the high and mid frequency range with high quality is supported by a two-layer paper and a low distortion ferrite external magnetic circuit to realize a delicate and expressive reproduction of music.

Features

2-layer paper cone
The diaphragm is made of a combination of thin, flexible, high-density fibers and two-layer papermaking technology, resulting in a lightweight diaphragm with high rigidity and internal loss. The base layer is made mainly of long-fiber pulp, which provides high rigidity and internal loss due to its thickness rigidity, while the surface layer is made of short-fiber pulp, which increases the propagation velocity on the cone paper surface. The surface layer contains short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed on the surface of the cone paper. This enables reproduction of highs with good rise and sharpness and bass with thickness, while maintaining the bright and taut tone in the mid-range.
The two-layer papermaking is our original technology, in which the cone paper is papermade in two steps to make one cone paper with two layers, the base layer and the surface layer.
The two-layer papermaking process is our proprietary technology.

Large ferrite magnetic circuit
A Φ120mm ferrite magnet is used for the magnetic circuit to ensure sufficient magnetic flux density. The pole section is covered with a copper cap to reduce current distortion and enable powerful music reproduction.

Highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame
A highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame is used to support the large ferrite magnetic circuit and prevent unwanted vibrations from being transmitted to the enclosure.
The frame outer diameter, mounting hole pitch, and baffle opening diameter are equivalent to those of the FE168E Σ.

High Compliance Corrugated Damper
To improve linearity, a high-compliance corrugation damper with little change in stiffness and excellent movement from small to large inputs is used.
The corrugation damper is used to improve linearity.

3-point adhesion system
Three-point bonding method is adopted to bond the cone paper, damper, and voice coil at the same point. This improves the high frequency characteristics by increasing the strength of the cone neck.

Faston 205 gold-plated terminals
Faston 205 type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals. speaker cables and prevents deterioration of sound quality.
