Features

Two-layer paper ES cone

Based on the FE83En cone paper, a two-layer ES cone with thin, flexible, high-density fibers is used to achieve further improvement in rigidity and internal loss despite its light weight. The base layer is made mainly of long-fiber pulp to achieve both high rigidity and internal loss, while the surface layer is made of short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed on the diaphragm surface. The surface layer contains short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed of the diaphragm surface. This enables reproduction of crisp highs and thick lows with good rise time, while maintaining the bright and taut tone of the mid-range.
*Two-layer papermaking is a unique technology in which the diaphragm is made in two stages, with the base layer and surface layer making up a single diaphragm.

High-compliance corrugated damper

To improve linearity, a high-compliance corrugation damper is used, which has little change in stiffness from small to large inputs, and has excellent movement.

Low distortion ferrite external magnetic circuit
A φ65mm ferrite magnet is used in the magnetic circuit to ensure sufficient magnetic flux density. Copper caps are placed on the pole piece and the inner circumference of the magnet in the magnetic circuit to reduce current distortion, and the clarity of the mid and high frequencies is improved by thoroughly reducing distortion in the drive system.

The mechanical 2-way center cap/heat-resistant glass composite voice coil bobbin center cap is directly connected to the voice coil bobbin to achieve extended high frequency reproduction and bandwidth extension beyond 20kHz. The voice coil bobbin is made of a high-young-constant sheet composed of glass fiber and phenolic resin, which ensures that vibrations are transmitted to the center cap while also improving input resistance.

Three-point bonding method
The cone paper, damper, and voice coil are bonded at the same point. By increasing the strength of the cone neck, the high frequency characteristics are improved.

Faston 205 gold-plated terminals
Faston 205 type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals. This ensures secure connection of speaker cables and prevents deterioration of sound quality.
