The FE83NV is a speaker unit developed as a successor to the FE83En, maintaining the bright and taut tone characteristic of the FE-En series while achieving a three-dimensional sound field expression. It has powerful bass reproduction capability that is hard to believe for its small diameter, and gives even greater transparency and exhilaration to the sound of voices and musical instruments in the mid and high frequency range.
Features
New cone paper made mainly from super beaten kenaf.
By mixing long and short fibers of non-wood pulp, the paper has moderate internal loss and rigidity, and by mixing chemical fibers and ores as auxiliary materials, it achieves higher propagation speed and rigidity.
Low distortion in the mid-range by using a dovecote-less diaphragm
The weight balance of the diaphragm is unbalanced by the weight of the dove, which causes unequal division resonance in addition to the circular vibration mode of the cone diaphragm, resulting in distortion in the mid-range.
Adoption of pocket-neck damper
The pocket-neck damper method already developed for the FF-WK series is adopted to continue the three-point bonding of the voice coil, damper, and cone paper on the same circumference while achieving the aforementioned dove-less design.
In addition, the shape and material of the damper have been reviewed to achieve more linear amplitude characteristics than those of the En series.
● Gold-plated terminals
Faston 205-type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals. In addition to secure joints for speaker cables, this prevents deterioration of sound quality.
