FE88-Sol
8.5cm full rangeDNA inheritance Evolutionary lineage.
The FE88-Sol is a newly developed special unit inheriting the development philosophy and proprietary technology of the FE108-Sol. The high quality sound in the mid and high frequency range is supported by a double-layer paper and a low distortion ferrite external magnetic circuit to realize delicate and expressive music reproduction.

Features
Dual-layer ES cone paper
The newly designed ES cone paper is made of two-layer paper with thin, flexible, high-density fibers to achieve further improvement in rigidity and internal loss despite its light weight. The base layer is made mainly of long-fiber pulp to achieve both high rigidity and internal loss, while the surface layer is made of short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed on the diaphragm surface. The surface layer contains short-fiber pulp to increase the propagation speed of the diaphragm surface. This enables reproduction of crisp highs and thick lows with good rise time, while maintaining the bright and taut tone in the mid-range.
The two-layer papermaking is a unique technology in which the diaphragm is made in two stages, with the base layer and the surface layer making up one diaphragm.
Highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame
A highly rigid aluminum die-cast frame is used to support the large ferrite magnetic circuit and prevent unwanted vibrations from being transmitted to the enclosure.
The frame outer diameter: φ112mm, mounting hole pitch: φ100mm, and baffle opening diameter: φ90mm are equivalent to those of the FE88ES-R and MG850 (discontinued product).
High Compliance Corrugated Damper
To improve linearity, a high-compliance corrugation damper is used, with little change in stiffness from minute to large input, and excellent movement.
Low distortion ferrite external magnetic circuit
The magnetic circuit consists of two 85 mm dia. ferrite magnets stacked on top of each other to ensure sufficient magnetic flux density. Inside the magnetic circuit, a copper cap is placed on the pole piece to reduce current distortion, and the low distortion of the drive system improves the clarity of the mid and high frequencies.
Three-point bonding system
The three-point bonding method is employed to bond the cone paper, damper, and voice coil at the same point. The high frequency characteristics are improved by increasing the strength of the cone neck.
Faston 205 gold-plated terminals
Faston 205 type low-loss gold-plated terminals are used for input terminals. This ensures secure connection of speaker cables and prevents deterioration of sound quality.
