The FW-HS series is a woofer unit series based on the FW-N series that has evolved into a more rigid diaphragm by combining high-performance pulp materials and proprietary paper-making technology.
This high-rigidity diaphragm is based on two types of pulp, and is made of ultra-high modulus carbon fiber with a propagation speed equivalent to that of diamonds, PBO super fiber with twice the strength of aramid fiber, biocellulose and pearl mica that link these fibers together to increase their binding strength, and cellgaia fiber that improves internal loss without reducing propagation speed. The FW-HS is equipped with an optimally designed voice coil and a magnetic circuit with strong driving force, in addition to this advanced high-rigidity diaphragm, The FW-HS is designed with acoustic parameters that facilitate enclosure design. The highly rigid diaphragm reliably transmits vibrations to the air, resulting in excellent transients and realistic reproduction of spatial echoes and low frequency sounds produced by musical instruments. The smooth frequency response also allows combination with tweeters over a wide bandwidth.
