Tweeter (Net for diaphragm protection is removed.) Woofer

Pure magnesium diaphragm

Pure magnesium is used for the woofer and tweeter diaphragms. Pure magnesium (99.9% purity) is a very suitable material for diaphragms because of its low specific gravity and high internal loss compared to other metals. This excellent material is formed into an HR shape for the woofer and a ridge dome shape for the tweeter to improve rigidity and disperse resonance, resulting in a straightforward sound reproduction with high penetrating power and no quirks. Furthermore, by unifying the materials of the woofer and tweeter diaphragms, the tone and reverberation of the entire range of frequencies are aligned, resulting in comfortable music reproduction.

Newly developed zinc die-cast frame

Newly developed high specific gravity zinc die-cast frame for woofer

In order to take advantage of the high internal loss and the uniqueness of the pure magnesium diaphragm, attention was paid to the frame material. By using a zinc die-cast frame, which has a higher specific gravity than the conventional aluminum die-cast frame, vibrations caused by the reaction of the diaphragm amplitude are less likely to be transmitted from the enclosure to the sound field space, allowing the listener to feel a real sense of silence as the sound disappears.

Specific Gravity / Aluminum 2.69 : Zinc 7.13

Evolution of bass reproduction

The advantage of the 10cm woofer is that the diaphragm is light and relatively rigid. The light diaphragm responds accurately to the input signal and sinks deep and comfortably without blurring the pitch in the low frequency range. The diaphragm’s own deformation is extremely small, even when subjected to severe signal input, so distortion and turbidity are minimal, enabling the reproduction of vivid and lustrous tones. Furthermore, a high specific gravity zinc die-cast frame is used for the frame, which reduces the transmission of vibration caused by the reaction of the diaphragm amplitude through the cabinet to the sound field space, contributing to clearer reproduction. In addition, by reviewing the structure of the damper, we were able to increase the amplitude of the diaphragm and improve low-frequency reproduction. As a result, the left hand of a grand piano and the scales of a double bass are rendered more expressively.

●Cabinet

Acoustic CE plywood, a proprietary material with rich resonance and natural reverberation, is used for the baffle plate and the top and bottom side panels. To support the powerful woofer, the baffle plate is 30 mm thick and the top and bottom side plates are 18 mm thick to optimize the rigidity balance. The thick ruffle plates are rounded to create a shape with a protruding center, allowing the individual instruments to emerge clearly with beautiful tones in a quiet and transparent environment. A base board is attached to the bottom of the cabinet so that music can be enjoyed with a sense of sound field and high quality sound even on the desktop. The baseboard prevents vibrations generated by the cabinet from being transmitted to the speaker installation surface and muddying the sound, and radiates the vibrations from the cabinet bottom without suppressing them, creating a wide and natural sound field for a pleasant sound experience.
