Features

Left: G2000 midrange diaphragm *Right: G2000a midrange diaphragm

Highly rigid 10cm HR-shaped pure magnesium diaphragm (99.9% purity) is used in the midrange

Pure magnesium has high internal loss, making it an excellent material with the high-density and penetrating acoustic properties of metal, while having few excess incidental sounds characteristic of metal.

The HR shape is a special structure that disperses resonance while increasing rigidity.

By taking advantage of these two advantages and further increasing the rigidity of the diaphragm itself, the acoustic performance of the midrange has been improved. You can enjoy the depth of an orchestra, a sense of three-dimensionality, and a sense of sound field. You will enjoy a quiet and transparent winter morning-like atmosphere, a thick and rich resonance, and a naturally fading reverberation.

25mm ridge-dome pure magnesium tweeter for treble

A pure magnesium diaphragm is used, which enables flexible and thick reproduction despite being made of metal.

Furthermore, a newly developed ridge dome with a different distance from the voice coil to the tip of the dome is employed to realize natural high-frequency characteristics without peaks in the highest frequency range by eliminating inherent coloration from both the material and structural aspects, and together with the Alnico magnetic circuit, enables lustrous high-frequency reproduction.

Long voice coil 20cm HR woofer for mid and bass

The woofer for mid/low bass/bass tones uses an HR diaphragm, which was developed as a light and strong diaphragm shape that suppresses inherent resonance.

The magnetic circuit for the mid/low bass woofer, which handles frequencies up to 350 Hz, uses a long voice coil system with two 145 mm dia. ferrite magnets.

The diaphragm is made of banana pulp, blended with several new materials including high modulus carbon using our proprietary paper-making technology to create a light and strong diaphragm with no habitual characteristics.

Long voice coil 20cm HR woofer for bass

Aiming at reproduction of the lowest frequencies with a deep sinking sound, the woofer for bass has an ultra-long voice coil specification with a plate width of 14 mm and a voice coil winding width of 27 mm, and a large, powerful magnetic circuit that uses two φ156 mm ferrite magnets, the largest in its class.
The magnetic circuit with the largest driving force in its class reproduces powerful low frequency with high response.

4-way bass reflex speaker system

The enclosure is divided into an upper mid-bass woofer and a lower bass woofer, each with a capacity corresponding to the speaker unit optimized for the band it receives, and is a 4-way staggered bass reflex type.
The pedestal part is a floor standing type with three HR weights attached to prevent unwanted specific resonance by itself to adjust the resonance and balance the weight.

Enclosure made of beech plywood/ camphorwood and eucalyptus plywood, particle, MDF

The baffle is made of rigid 18mm-thick beech plywood and 15mm-thick camphor and eucalyptus plywood, 33mm-thick.

The top, bottom, and side panels are made of 27mm-thick particleboard, which is made of 9mm-thick boards laminated and re-glued together to enhance rich sound and rigidity. The back board is made of 18mm-thick MDF to optimize strength distribution and provide a natural and clear sound.

The baffle is made of satin sycamore, which has a distinctive grain, and the sideboards are natural beech veneers with a quarter-sawn finish and a glossy piano finish.

MID Controller

It is also equipped with a MID controller that flexibly responds to the listening environment.

This controller does not change the volume of the entire tweeter band like a conventional tweeter attenuator, but controls the connection between the screener and the tweeter.
Since the controller is not connected in series with the tweeter, it does not change the highest frequency range, providing superior adjustability without any degradation of sound quality that might be a concern.

High-quality network components / Bi-wiring compatible
Machined copper gold-plated terminals

Input terminals are machined copper with gold-plated terminals for contact loss, and bi-wiring is supported.

Furthermore, copper/silver alloy stranded wires are used for internal wiring, and all contacts are caulked with gold-plated sleeves to prevent deterioration of sound quality.

The coils and capacitors used in the network are high-quality, low-loss coils and capacitors developed for loudspeaker craft use, and network elements appropriate for their class are employed.
