Woofer with an original HR-shaped diaphragm,
The GX Series is a new generation of the GX Series, which is now being produced in Japan.
The new generation of the GX series is born, marking the start of domestic production in Japan.

Features

Tweeter and woofer diaphragms

The tweeter uses a 20 mm ridge dome-shaped diaphragm made of pure magnesium (99.9% purity), which has an established reputation. The split vibration disperses resonance, allowing you to fully enjoy the moist singing of female vocalists and the resonance of violins with their rich overtone components. The woofer uses a 10 cm aluminum alloy* HR diaphragm, which disperses split vibrations, suppressing squeal and maximizing the rigidity and high propagation speed of the metal diaphragm. This enables improved reproduction of the low frequency range, a fundamental element of music, and faster reproduction.

Laminated plywood enclosure manufactured in Japan

In order to reproduce rich resonance, the basic philosophy that has been followed since the first GX100 (released in February 2009) is retained. The material is based on acoustical laminated plywood, which has stable strength and shape as a board material, natural vibration damping, and pleasant resonance, with a decorative surface finish using olefin sheets. The baffle plate supporting the unit is 18 mm thick, and the top, bottom, left and right side plates are 15 mm thick to ensure adequate rigidity and to align resonance and reverberation. For the back plate, 15 mm thick MDF was used to ensure proper convergence of vibrations.

*HR (HP ROTATION), the HP (HYPERBOLIC PARABOLOIDAL) shape, known in the field of building structural mechanics, is further improved by adding circumferential rotation. Since only shearing forces act as internal stresses and not bending stresses, this shape provides light weight and high rigidity, and is ideal for metallic materials with low internal loss to disperse resonance caused by split vibrations.
