HP-V8

Equipped with direct-heating triode 300B as output tube and KT88 as power supply. This tube headphone amplifier achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 115dB by making full use of analog technology.

Features

– The unique power supply system, Stabilized Tube-controlled Power Circuit (ST-PC) using KT88, significantly reduces residual noise and achieves a S/N ratio of 115dB.
The S/N ratio of 115dB is achieved.
– The voltage amplifier tube is an E88CC and the output tube is a 300B.
– The power supply uses a toroidal power transformer, heater transformer, and choke transformer manufactured by Bando Electronics.
– The output transformer is a custom output transformer for balanced and unbalanced outputs manufactured by Hashimoto Electric Co.
– The base plate is made of an aluminum plate weighing 2 kg. Teflon and OFC (Oxygen-free Copper) plates are used between the output tubes.
The use of Teflon and OFC (Oxygen-free Copper) plating between the output tubes and the transformer thoroughly eliminates vibration noise.
– A high-end audio electronic volume control is used to minimize left-right volume deviations.
– Newly developed custom electrolytic capacitors and custom film capacitors.
– Equipped with AC inlet made by Furutech.
– Adopted power cable using D.U.C.C. made by Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.

Attention

– The power cable supplied with the unit has three contacts.
Ensure that it is connected to a main power outlet with a protective grounding connection terminal.
– Install the unit in a location where it can be easily unplugged from the main power outlet.
– This unit is not completely disconnected from the power supply when the power switch is turned OFF. To separate the unit from the power supply, unplug it from the main power outlet.
To separate the unit from the power supply, unplug it from the main power outlet.
– If the unit is used near a device that transmits or receives radio waves, such as a smart phone, it may cause noise due to radio interference depending on the model.
If this is the case, the unit may be susceptible to noise due to radio wave interference. Switching to a mode that blocks transmission and reception of radio waves, such as Airplane mode, may eliminate the noise.
– This product uses a vacuum tube that generates high heat. Take care not to burn yourself when using this product.
High voltages are used inside the unit. Do not use the unit with the cover removed.
Keep the sides and back of the unit at least 30 cm away from walls, etc., and the top at least 1 m away.
Do not cover the unit with a cloth or the like during operation.
– Due to the characteristics of vacuum tubes, the unit may be affected by power supply noise and other electrical equipment in the vicinity.
– Due to the characteristics of vacuum tubes, vibration may be heard as noise. Use the unit in a place with little vibration. In addition, do not use the unit in a place where the impedance is not affected.
Vibration from switching the impedance or plugging and unplugging the headphone jack may cause the unit to vibrate, resulting in abnormal noise. Also, due to the characteristics of direct-heating triode
Due to the characteristics of direct-heating triode tubes, vibration noise may be heard until the filament temperature stabilizes in relation to the ambient temperature, but this is normal.
– Vacuum tubes are consumables. Regular maintenance is required. Do not use the vacuum tube in an environment where dust can accumulate.
If the vacuum tube remains dusty for a long period of time without being cleaned, it may cause a fire or malfunction.
Consult your dealer or other qualified service provider to clean the inside of the unit at least once every three years. The warranty period for the vacuum tube used in this product is 6 months from the date of purchase. The warranty period for the vacuum tubes used in this product is 6 months from the date of purchase.
After installation, consult an authorized dealer for handling when moving the unit again, for example, when moving house.
– This unit has a high output power with a maximum output of 2000mW (at 16 ohms). Be sure to turn down the volume when replacing headphones.
Be especially careful of the volume when switching the DIRECT INPUT.
