Features
The NF-01A is a new monitor speaker that inherits the lineage of the NF-01A, which was highly acclaimed by engineers and artists, but was regrettably discontinued.
While maintaining the basic specifications of the NF-01A, the NF-01A has been further evolved with improvements that take into account the current production environment.
Equipped with a 13cm “HR diaphragm” woofer. The weight reduction of the vibration system and the reinforced magnetic circuit have improved the transient characteristics from mid-range to high-range, resulting in realistic vocal reproduction.
UDR Tangential Edge” and “Push-Pull Damper” are used in the woofer to eliminate reverse resonance of the edges. Linearity has been dramatically improved and performance that responds precisely to even the smallest signals has been realized.
The tweeter uses a “UFLC diaphragm” (soft dome) with high tracking/reproducibility even for minute signals. Wide range and flat characteristics are realized.
In addition to LO FREQ (+2/0/-2dB at 55Hz), the tweeter level can be controlled with a variable range of ±3dB.
Built-in power amplifiers of 45W for high frequency and 50W for low frequency drive the woofer and tweeter in a bi-amplified system. By driving each unit independently, sound muddiness caused by electrical interference between units is eliminated.
We offer a 3-year warranty based on our Warranty Terms and Conditions.
Major changes from NF-01A and technical description
Special page → HR (HYPERBOLIC PARABOLOIDAL ROTATION) STORY
Woofer unit changed from HP diaphragm to HR diaphragm
The HR (HP ROTATION) diaphragm is an improved version of the HP (hyperbolic paraboloidal) diaphragm known in the field of architectural structural mechanics. By applying a circumferential twist to the hyperbolic paraboloidal surface, only shearing force acts as internal stress and no bending stress acts, resulting in light weight and high rigidity. Furthermore, the enhanced magnetic circuit improves the braking force and realizes more accurate reproduction.
Eliminated sound reflectors
The HP Sound Reflector (reflector) located inside the cabinet has been eliminated, and the adjustment has been changed to a sound-absorbing material. The use of reflectors was effective in reducing standing waves, but sound reflections inside the cabinet sometimes came out through the bass reflex port. The NF01R, however, has succeeded in eliminating excess sound by optimally arranging sound-absorbing materials and adopting a simple structure.
Newly designed bass reflex port
The bass-reflex port was also newly designed, and its interior was polished to a mirror finish so that low-frequency components are transmitted directly.
Changed the emblem of the Fostex logo
A luxurious gold color is used.
