Features

This active speaker was developed with a monitor-oriented design to faithfully reproduce the sound of guitar amp simulators and multi-effectors equipped with the same functionality.

This product does not have a guitar amp function. Please connect a line-level output through a separate guitar amp simulator or effects pedal.

The wooden box and thick grille net provide the live sound that cannot be reproduced by a simulator alone.

The included controller PC-2LIVE Mini Jam can be connected to a portable player, rhythm machine, or other device for a wide range of uses, from playing background music in everyday life to mixing karaoke playback in the background when practicing on the guitar.

The PM-SUBmini2 active subwoofer (sold separately) can be added for even richer bass.

—–FeaturesDetails—–

There are many high-performance guitar amp simulators available, but none of them have speakers that can faithfully reproduce the sound of a guitar amp even after detailed parameter settings have been made. The PM30G is an active speaker designed with the monitor in mind.

The design is based on our PM0.3 active speaker, which has become a very popular product for a wide range of applications. The PM30G features a clear and highly efficient amplifier section, a wooden cabinet with leather-like seats and a thick grille net, just like famous guitar amplifiers. The rear bass reflex system delivers rich bass and resonance in a compact body.

■The PC-2LIVE controller comes standard with two stereo-compatible inputs and the ability to adjust the balance of the volume to be mixed. You can connect a guitar amp simulator to a portable player, rhythm machine, etc., and play them on the PM30G while adjusting the volume of the mix. What used to require a large mixer can now be done with the PC-2LIVE in a palm-sized compact body and without the need for a power supply. It can be placed on a disk top without getting in the way, and the two knobs allow for quick volume adjustment.

■This 2-way configuration consists of a woofer (for bass) and tweeter (for treble) with an emphasis on quality. The woofer reproduces even the most delicate nuances, such as a touch to the strings.

The PM-SUBmini2 active subwoofer (sold separately) can be added for even richer bass. Recommended for bassists.

In addition to a guitar amp simulator, the PM-SUBmini2 can be connected to various portable players and PCs for easy, high-quality music playback.

A buzzing sound is generated when the power is turned on and off, but this is not a malfunction.

Please note that this product does not function as a guitar amplifier.

Controller "PC-2LIVE Mini Jam" is included as standard.

Two stereo inputs allow for stereo output while adjusting mix volume and overall volume. This compact and lightweight volume controller operates without the need for a power supply.

You can connect a guitar amp simulator to a portable player, rhythm machine, or other device and have the PM30G sound it while balancing the volume.

It is easy to realize a jam session on a disc-top.

Easy to connect. Play instantly when you feel like it!

Connect a guitar amp simulator to INPUT A of the PC-2LIVE, connect a portable player or other device to INPUT B, and connect the OUTPUT to the INPUT of the PM30G active speaker. Use the balance knob to adjust the volume difference between INPUT A and B, and the volume knob to adjust the overall volume.

FAQ

Q
Can I connect an electric guitar or microphone output directly to the PM30G (and PC-2LIVE)?
A

The PM30G (and PC-2LIVE thereafter) requires a signal input of what is generally referred to as a line level. Since the signal output from the electric guitar or microphone itself is weak, it is not possible to obtain sufficient volume or sound quality by connecting directly to the PM30G.

To connect to the PM30G, use a guitar amp simulator, multi-effector, or other product capable of line-level output. To connect a microphone, connect it through a separate mic preamp or a mixer that supports mic input.

Many pedal-type effectors can only output at the guitar level, so please check the specifications of the product you are using.

Q
What kind of cable is needed to input a stereo signal to the INPUT of the PC-2LIVE?
A

The cable for the one plugging into PC-2LIVE should be a cable with a TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) 3-pole type terminal, which is generally called a stereo terminal.

INPUT A has standard phone-type terminals with a Φ6.3mm (1/4″) diameter, which must be changed to match the usage situation using the switch between mono (TS) and stereo (TRS).

The supplied stereo mini plug cable can be used for INPUT B.
