Features
Folded Diaphragm
The acoustic state of the “Folded Diaphragm,” which is different from cone, horn, dome, or RP, opens a new door to music reproduction. The Folded Diaphragm excels at creating a high-density sound image with a powerful presence, and its expression of rock and metal music is remarkable. The lower operating frequency limit is about 2.5 kHz, which is not low by any means, but it has a wide reproduction bandwidth that can be combined with 10 cm and 16 cm woofers, as well as 16 cm and 20 cm full range loudspeakers.
acoustical design
The magnetic circuit and housing supporting the diaphragm are designed with careful consideration of not only the shape and dimensions but also the materials used, with emphasis on the acoustic condition of the finished product, as well as frequency characteristics and other standards.
Gold-plated terminal
In order to fully demonstrate the acoustic performance, gold-plated terminals (#205 t0.8) are used for the input terminals. Also included is a cord (SFC103 core wire) crimped with gold-plated fastening terminals (#205 t0.8) for connection.
Diaphragm and Pronunciation Principles
The Folded Diaphragm is made of PI base material with aluminum patterns corresponding to voice coil windings, and the patterns are arranged so that when the diaphragm is folded regularly, current flows in opposite directions to the vertical surfaces facing each other. The principle of sound generation is that the opposing vertical surfaces of the diaphragm move in opposite directions when subjected to magnetic flux, and sound waves are emitted when the air between the vertical surfaces is pushed or pulled into the space between them.
