How the TH900 lacquered housing is made
Features
● Magnetic circuit with repulsive magnetic field is equipped with a newly developed 50mm driver unit with a magnetic flux density of 1.5 Tesla. Low distortion rate and ultra-strong magnetic circuit provide a vast dynamic range.
The diaphragm is made of “BioDyna”. The diaphragm is made of “Bio Dyna” material, which provides rich sound in the ultra-low frequency range, straightforward mid-range, and especially excellent presence in the high frequency range.
The housing is made of “Mizume-Zakura,” a high-grade material with a fine, hard texture and a beautifully finished surface.
The housing cover is finished in “Urushi Bordeaux” by the long-established Sakamoto Otozou Shoten. The lacquer used is black lacquer for the base and adhesive lacquer for the foil application. The FOSTEX logo is covered with platinum foil.
7N grade (99.99999%) high-purity OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) cord and high-strength duralumin sleeve are used.
Protein leather is used for the ear pads. Egg-derived protein is blended into the earpads to provide a pleasant feel against the skin. In addition, 60% weight reduction compared to genuine leather is achieved.

Ear pads are consumable items. Please replace the earpads as necessary because they deteriorate due to daily use and long-term storage. Please contact our customer service for replacement.
