How the TH900 lacquered housing is made

Features

● Newly equipped with a detachable connector port and 7N grade cable for internal wiring. Balanced connection is also supported with an XLR-terminal cable (ET-H3.0N7BL) (sold separately).

Unbalanced cable (ET-H3.0N7UB) with 7N grade (99.99999%) high-purity OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) cord is included as standard. The plug sleeve is made of highly durable duralumin.

Housing cover with beautiful lacquer Bordeaux finish by Sakamoto Otozou Shoten, a long-established company with 110 years of history.

The housing is made of “Mizumezakura,” a high-grade wood with a fine, hard texture and beautifully finished surface.

The ear pads are made of protein leather and low-resilience cushions. Egg-derived protein is blended into the earpads for a pleasant feel and comfortable fit. In addition, they are 60% lighter than genuine leather.

Q
How do I care for my lacquer-finished housing?
A

The same method as for ordinary lacquerware is fine. For daily maintenance, wipe with a soft cloth.
No special oil or polish is required.

Excessive drying may cause cracking, but there is no need to moisten the lacquer every time. In fact, please note that lacquer tends to leave traces of water.
